Koyal Beauty is a Toronto-based skincare brand dedicated to providing plant-powered solutions for dry and sensitive skin. Inspired by the Koyal bird, which in Indian folklore signals the arrival of monsoon rains and relief after a hot, dry season, the brand embodies the promise of moisturizing and hydrating relief for the skin. Koyal Beauty is committed to simplicity and efficacy, offering fragrance-free, vegan, and cruelty-free products that prioritize minimalism in skincare routines. Their formulations are free from parabens, sulfates, phthalates, silicones, and petroleum, ensuring gentle care for sensitive skin. Additionally, Koyal Beauty emphasizes sustainability by using recycled packaging and supporting environmental initiatives through partnerships with organizations like LivClean.
Briefing
Koyal Beauty approached us during their inception phase, seeking assistance in selecting a brand name that encapsulated the founder’s aspirations and values. Collaborating closely with the founder, we explored various concepts and ultimately crafted the name “Koyal Beauty,” drawing inspiration from the Koyal bird to symbolize rejuvenation and natural beauty. Following the establishment of the brand name, we embarked on developing a visual identity that would stand out on shelves while reflecting elegance, minimalism, and the organic essence of an environmentally friendly brand. Our work encompassed creating marketing collateral, establishing brand guidelines, and designing the initial packaging with adaptability for future product variations, including different color schemes and a black alternative for upcoming products.
RESULTS
The comprehensive branding efforts culminated in a distinctive and cohesive brand identity that resonated with consumers seeking clean and effective skincare solutions. In 2024, Koyal Beauty expanded its product line, launching new offerings that adhered to the initial brand vision and design framework. This strategic consistency reinforced brand recognition and trust, contributing to the company’s growth in the competitive skincare market.
